Mu Ko Similan, Pang-Nga, Thailand
(Mu Ko, in Thai, means group of islands)
Lying 80 Kilometres northwestern of Phuket and 40 Kilometres west of Thaplamu, Pang-nga is an island group called Similan which consist of 9 islands. Most islands are inhabited which makes nature both on islands and underwater very pure and beautiful. Similan Islands attract thousands of international tourists every year for its underwater wonder, powderly white sand and crystal clear water. Great for diving, snorkeling, or simply just swimming and relaxing for your leisure.
How to go to Similan
From Thaplamu to Similan by speed boat takes 1.30 hours approx. and by big boat takes around 3-4 hours. However this depends on weather and sea conditions. Round-trip speed boat is included in all Medsye's Similan Islands Trips.
Our speed boat leaves to Similan around 8.00-8.30 am everyday, so we recommend our customers who come by themselved to be at Thaplamu pier prior to the mentioned time. Speed boat leaves Similan at 3.00 pm and stop at Island 8 and Island 9 on the way back to Thaplamu pier.
Mu Ko Similan National Park Fee
400 Baht per person for adults and 200 Baht per person for children. This fee is also included in all Medsye's Similan Islands Trips.
Hotel Transfer
We provide round-trip transfer to our office and the pier in Thaplamu from hotels in Khao Lak and Phuket only (see prices below).
Tourist Season
Tourists can visit Similan Islands anytime between 16 November - 15 May. Because Mu Koh Similan National Park is closed during rainy season every year, between 16 May - 15 November.
