Q: When do the speed boats leave to Similan and come back?
A: Because of the distance from Thaplamu to Similan Islands is quite far and the only transportation to the islands is on boat, so the schedule of boats to-from Similan is quite strict. Not only Medsye but all other companies have the same schedule as the following:

So if you book a 1 Day trip, your speed boat will depart around 8.00 am and arrive in Thaplamu around 4.30 pm. And if you book a 2 Day trip, your speed boat will depart around 8.00 am on the first day and will arrive in Thaplamu around 4.30 pm on the second day and so on.
Remark* - On the way back from Similan, speed boats normally leave from Island 4 at 1.00 pm and make stops at Island 9 and Island 8 before heading back to Thaplamu around 3.00 pm

Q: Do all the trips include all meals (breakfast, lunch, and supper)?
A: Yes, all the trips (1 Day, 2 Days, and 3 Days Trips) include all meals with snacks and fresh fruits. The food are Thai food buffet with seafood. Sometimes breakfast is served in choices for example: Western style bread and eggs or Thai soft-boiled rice with pork.
Q: If I'm not in Phuket or Khao Lak, how can I go to Thaplamu Pier to go to Similan?
A: Because the speed boat schedule is quite strict, we recommend our customers to be on time - arrive in Thaplamu before 8.00 am at least half an hour. If our customers are coming by plane, we suggest coming 1 day before and stay in hotels around Khao Lak or Phuket because, currently, there are no flights available that early in the morning. Some of our customers came with air conditioned bus from Bangkok (Bangkok-Phuket Route) which leaves Bangkok around 7.00 pm 1 Day before and get off the bus at Thaplamu Intersection in the morning. That is another option we recommend to our customers.
Q: What if I'm driving to Thaplamu Pier?
A: If you're driving to Thaplamu Pier, please make sure you're on time. If you book an overnight trip (2 Days, 3 Days) you can leave your car in Princess Chulabhorn's Nationnal Marine Park Conservation Center which is operated by Thai military. So you can be pretty sure your car will be safe and sound until you come back. This cost 40 Baht per vehicle per night.
Q: Tents are included in package trip, if I stay in Bungalow do I get discount?
A: Customers who stay in Bungalow or do not use tents will get 300 Baht discount per night per person.
Q: What if in the afternoon of some day I don't want to go snorkeling with the group?
A: You will always have choice of staying on island and have your own leisure time.
Q: Can Medsye book a VIP bus to go back to Bangkok for me and friends?
A: Sure, this VIP bus departs from Thaplamu Pier from 5.30 pm and go directly to Bangkok which cost 869 Baht per person. Just let us know and we will book the seats for you.
Q: Do I get discount if I go with a lot of friends or a group tour (more than 9-10 people)?
